The leader on February 22 made a very limpid and enlightening brief exposition of the first encyclical letter of Pope Benedict XVI, entitled God Is Love.

God created us in His image out of love and had created everything else for our love. Christ himself is God's incarnate love for us all.

In return God expects us to sincerely love Him and our neighbour for His love. It is easy to sing of love but it is difficult to love in all circumstances, especially those who wish us evil.

Around us we still see many families where love reigns supreme but unfortunately there are others where hatred is taking the upper hand.

When I speak to these sad families, I find out that they are not happy with what they are going through. They wish to love and be loved, but in reality through the steps they are taking they hate and are being hated.

In such circumstances all loving families can give a helping hand but, above all, God's loving grace can work wonders. I firmly believe in such a grace.
