White Hart 2
Young Stars 6

Young Stars could not have had a better start as they took a two-goal lead inside the opening three minutes.

First, it was Christian Bonello who darted into the White Hart area to beat Vassallo Agius with a neat flick. Then, Ivan Magro dribbled his way into the shooting zone to score goal no.2 for Young Stars.

Young Stars kept up the pressure and added a third through Marvin Vella who pushed the ball home from close range. White Hart did try to put their act together but it was to no avail. They suffered a fourth goal through Edward Hughes.

On resumption, White Hart were a different outfit and pulled one back on 43 minutes through Luke Borg Costanzi following a well-taken short corner.

They sustained the pressure and pegged their opponents back but it was just not their day.

On 55 minutes, Kevin Filletti missed a sitter and from the resultant counter-attack Vella beat Vassallo Agius from an acute angle.

Three minutes later, Young Stars hit their sixth goal through Dave Evans.

By means of a penalty stroke, Borg Costanzi made the final score 6-2.

Sliema Hotsticks 0
Pasta Poiatti Qormi 5

From the very first whistle, Qormi surged forward and could have opened the scoring early on through Gareth Dimech who was denied by a timely save from Luke Mallia.

On seven minutes, a double save by Ramon Chircop in Qormi's goal prevented Sliema taking a surprise lead. But from then on it was Qormi all the way, and on 13 minutes they forged ahead through Owen Piscopo.

Qormi kept pushing for more goals and added another when Jonathan Borg converted a penalty stroke.

In the second half, Sliema did try to put up more of a fight. They troubled Chircop through Ryan Dalli and Ryan George but their efforts were well dealt with by the Qormi goalkeeper.

Qormi soon increased their lead to 3-0, Keith Calleja powering his way into the Sliema area and setting up Philip Magri for the easiest of goals. Daniel Micallef then made it 4-0.

John Williams rounded off the score on 60 minutes when he fully extended his stick to meet a cross from Dimech with the ball ending up in goal over the diving Elton Farrugia, who had substituted Mallia.
