GO is investing in fourth generation (4G) mobile telecommunications services, which it will launch later this year, the company said in a statement.

It said the investment will enhance its ability to offer a superior mobile Internet service due to a completely fibre connected mobile network which is easily scalable to cater for ever growing demand.

According to an agreement with Nokia Networks as supplier of the 4G network, the launch will also include a major overhaul of GO’s national Radio Access Network (RAN).
