Go has rewarded a number of employees for their outstanding performance over the first six months of 2015. Ten employees won awards across various categories with a further 18 being nominated. The company’s IT operations team was also rewarded for its significant contribution to ensuring the smooth running of all systems.
Go operates two staff recognition awards: the Star and Gold Awards. The first allow staff to nominate colleagues who they believe deliver an outstanding performance in one, or more, of five categories, namely innovation, customer service excellence, integrity and loyalty, teamwork and ‘above and beyond’. The Gold Award gives senior managers and chief officers the opportunity to also recognise employees who make an exceptional contribution.
Since being set up in 2013, both Star and Gold Awards have attracted hundreds of nominations, highlighting the commitment of Go staff across all departments to improving operations and delivering the best experience to customers.
The Star Award winners for the first quarter of 2015 were: Sarah Camilleri for above and beyond, Christian Spiteri for customer service excellence, Ian Bugeja for innovation and Bernard Mamo for teamwork.
The winners for the second quarter of 2015 were: Gina Vella for above and beyond, Ryan Camilleri for customer service excellence, Adrian Tabone for innovation and Ian Camilleri for teamwork.
The Gold Award winners were: Kurt Zahra from Go’s Business Intelligence Unit for the first quarter and Paul Demicoli from the Customer Experience team for the second quarter this year. The IT Operations Team received the Team Recognition Award.
Go’s chief HR officer Ayrton Caruana said: “The Star and Gold Awards give Go employees and management the opportunity to recognise colleagues and teams within the company who have delivered a truly outstanding performance. The awards have played a big role in motivating staff and strengthening teamwork and have positively impacted both employee and customer satisfaction. This year has been a very busy year with numerous complex projects under way and all our staff, particularly the award winners, deserve a heartfelt thank you for all their efforts.”
