The 9th Global Entrepreneurship Summit is going Dutch in 2019, the first time that it is being held in Europe.
The summit, being hosted by Den Haag on June 4-5, will bring together 2,000 entrepreneurs from all over the world, giving them the chance to meet 400 top investors, business leaders, policy makers and innovators.
The event includes inspirational talks, pitch competitions and ‘matchmaking’ sessions.
This year’s edition will be focussing on five areas: agriculture/food, connectivity, energy, health and water.
Investment-ready entrepreneurs with tech scale-ups have until March 1 to apply.
Launching the event, US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Mark Schapiro said it had five slots for the event for which it could recommend participants and invited Maltese firms to come forward.
He also encouraged those interested in doing business in the US to consider attending the Select USA information sessions being held in Italy in mid-March, which will be followed by a Select USA event in Washington from June 10 to 12.
The embassy has also partnered with the Microsoft Innovation Centre to offer a one-year internship at its base in Luqa.
