Some sumptuous seacraft are on display at the eighth edition of the Valletta Boat Show being held over the weekend at Dock 1 in Cospicua.

The annual event will feature more than 70 international boating and yachting exhibitors.

The maritime exhibition, first held in 2007, attracts over 20,000 visitors every year. “Today, the Valletta Boat Show compares well with other medium-sized European boat shows, as it provides four action-packed days of fun and excitement for all ages,” organisers MediaMaker Limited said.

The newly refurbished Dock 1, which has hosted two consecutive editions in the past, was chosen as the ideal location for the event due to its historic past and setting. It can accommodate more than 50 berths. Besides the exhibition of boats, the show will feature product launches and a cocktail reception.

“Since the maritime exhibition started in 2007, it has kept a steady growth, making it the country’s biggest boating event. “We want to make this boat show one of the leading boat shows in Southern Europe.”

This year’s edition of the show is being managed by MediaMaker Ltd, a member of the Allied Group of Companies Ltd, in partnership with John Formosa, the founder of the Valletta Boat Show.
