At Sweden's Arkdes Center for Architecture and Design... this year's gingerbread exhibition might be the sweetest yet.
Now in its 25th year, this season's theme focused on "new ways of living - different ways to construct."
Director Karin Aberg Wearn says the theme was inspired by rising global population densities and urbanization.
"You know you can see all of the creativity in the different submissions that we have here. How you can solve this problem, how you have to think about this theme in the way that architects and designers do. How you, what kind of expression you would like to give the house."
Over the years, the exhibition has drawn some of Sweden's most promising up and coming young creators, including this year's winner, Louise Thornell, whose smart quarter-circled shape house came complete with a candy-filled swimming pool.
The gingerbread exhibition will be on display until January 10th.
