Hundreds of people enjoyed the sixth edition of the Seħer il-Punent festival in the village of Għarb in Gozo over the weekend.

The three-day festival, which kicked off on Friday, was organised by the locality's local council.

Most of the activities were held on the nearly-paved square and main street.

They included traditional food, dance, historic re-enactments and a tug-of-war.

Several guided walks to places of interest around the village were held.

Other activities included a concert by the New Cuori group, Debbie Scerri and tenor Aldo Busuttil, a concert of 70s, 80s and 90s music,  and, yesterday, the production of a record-breaking 104 kilo ġbejna - 27 kilos bigger than the one produced at last year's festival.
