The Ġgantija Temples will on June 27 hold the President’s ball in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

The ball was launched by President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca who said the Fund was continuing in its efforts to raise money to help as many people as possible, including Maltese and Gozitan residents who sought help for medical treatment abroad.

President Coleiro Preca said the Malta Community Chest Fund was paying out €250,000 a month to be used for therapy; provision of accomodation to patients as well as their relatives; and transport expenses patients and relatives when abroad.

Gozo Minister Anton Refalo thanked the President for the initiative and encouraged fellow Gozitans to partake in the intiative, while simultaneously helping the Fund.

Shadow minister Chris Said said the temples offered the ideal setting for such a prestiguous event and also appealed to Gozitans to take advantage of the occasion and help the Fund.

President’s Ball committee chairman Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata said the ball was being held in Gozo for the second consecutive time. A beautiful historic setting was again providing a backdrop for the perfect social activity.
