England midfielder Steven Gerrard will miss tomorrow's away friendly against the Netherlands after picking up a groin injury, the English FA said.

"Gerrard has returned to Liverpool as a precaution due to a tight groin," a statement on the English Football Association website (www.thefa.com) said.

No replacement has yet been named for the Liverpool captain.
