Germany is using Malta as a hub to send €100,000 worth of humanitarian aid to Libya.

The aid will be leaving Laboratory Wharf in Corradino tomorrow. The supplies include 300 pallets of drinking water, baby food and medical supplies.

The goods were purchased in Malta.

German ambassador Hubert Ziegler thanked local suppliers for their fast reaction and delivery and the Civil Protection Department and the Office of the Prime Minister for their “outstanding support”.

“Malta has again fulfilled the high expectation as a functioning humanitarian hub for Libya,” he said.
