Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has invited Malta to send a commercial delegation to Georgia for a Business Forum being held during a visit by European Commission President Jose Manuel Barrolo on June 13.

Mr Garibashvili made his invitation during a meeting with Foreign Minister George Vella this morning.

Dr Vella promised Malta’s support to Georgia’s political aspirations, sovereignty and aspirations to move closer to the European Union including through association and free trade agreements.

He addressed a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Maia Panjikidze and also met Speaker David Usupashvili and Orthodox Patriarch Elia II.
