What goes on in the gentleman's clubs around Malta is not necessarily always innocent fun, according to the testimony in tomorrow's issue of Pink magazine of two women whose husbands left them for strippers.

They open up about the added pain of knowing they and their children were abandoned for women who were probably only after financial security and seduced their husbands into losing the plot and leaving them.

But it is not all bad out there, and tomorrow's issue, distributed with The Times on the eve of Father's Day, also meets 21st-century dads, who have defied the image of being absent and uninterested in family life that the media often portrays. These men have taken an active role in bringing up their children and they have no regrets.

The psychological sections of Pink also tackle men's issues, including how their partners should deal with a mid-life crisis, and the special bond between a father and a daughter.

Gender stereotypes are taken to task, and high fashion hits dock 1, creating a stark contrast between refined beauty and the raw surroundings, while history, humour, horoscopes and health pack the pages of the 68th edition of the top women's magazine.

The travel section flies off to Bali and food remains in the region, offering a recipe for a simple miso soup with tofu and shiitake mushrooms. Pink's paparazzi page has also spilled on to two this month, capturing the hippest guests at the most happening events, while sunblock moves from bodies to buildings in interior-decorating tips on how to shade homes.

Published by Allied Newspapers Ltd and printed by Progress Press, Pink's executive editor is Fiona Galea Debono. It is produced by Mediamaker and designed by Helen Cassar Torreggiani and Joseph Schembri.
