The MFA has inaugurated a new computer programme tailored for its needs, aimed at helping the coaches of national teams at all levels in their assessment of players and tactics.
The software was hailed as 'a very useful tool for coaches' by MFA president Norman Darmanin Demajo.
During the launch this morning, it was also confirmed that technical director Robert Gatt will be in charge of the national team for its match against Liechtenstein in February.
The new programme features data on the technical, mental and tactical skills of the players, their training and their fitness records, among other information.
Mr Darmanin Demajo praised Mr Gatt for having surpassed his dreams as technical director.
Mr Gatt said he intends to introduce some young players for the Lichtenstein match, and said he has spoken to players who were controversially kept out of the Malta squad in the past and knows their position.
The MFA has yet to appoint a nation coach to succeed John Buttigieg.
