Ganado Advocates, in collaboration with the Malta Bankers’ Association, will be organising its annual banking and finance law seminar, a yearly appointment for leading lawyers, directors and senior officers working in the banking and finance law industry.

This year’s seminar will feature Nikki Johnstone, from the London office of the international law-firm Allen & Overy LLP, who will be delivering a presentation on fintech and the banking sector, with particular emphasis on EU innovations in payments, open banking and security.

Frederick Mifsud Bonnici, APS Bank Limited chairman, will discuss practical tips for non-executive directors sitting on boards of banks. The speakers will also include Catherine Formosa, a senior member of the firm’s banking team, who will address the proposed new outsourcing regime for banks and payment institutions and George Bugeja, a recent PhD graduate from King’s College London, who will analyse the EU package of measures to tackle non-performing
