Maltese triathlon received another timely boost yesterday with the news that Keith Galea (picture) and Hannah Pace had won an Olympic Distance Triathlon race in Sicily.

Galea topped the overall standings in the men’s category while Pace secured the women’s title in Trapani.

Graham Borg finished fourth in the race which consisted of a 1,500-metre swim, a 40km cycle and a 10km run.

For Galea and Pace, yesterday’s triathlon event was part of their preparations for the European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan.
