Gaia Cauchi, winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2013, won the final of the New Wave Junior 2015 on Wednesday.

The contest, which was held at the Artek Children’s Camp in Hurzuf, Crimea, took place over three days and was followed by more than 10,000 spectators.

The contestants came from 12 countries and included many Junior Eurovision national finalists, including representatives from Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine.

The runner up of Junior Eurovision 2014, Bulgaria’s Krisia Todorov, took second prize.

The contest will be aired on Russia 1 at a later date.
