The GWU has presented a petition signed by 207 employees of G4S Security at Mater Dei Hospital, demanding equal pay as their civil service counterparts.

The petition was handed in at the Health Ministry this morning.

GWU Section Secretary Cory Greenland said that the petitioners were calling on the ministry to intervene to improve the salaries and working conditions of the G4S staff employed at reception, the Casualty Department and clerical positions.
