Over €45,000 was yesterday distributed by Archbishop Paul Cremona to people in need, refugees and elderly priests.

Mgr Cremona handed sums to the Office of Children's Homes, Valletta, Dar Gużeppa Debono, Għajnsielem, the Home for the Clergy, Birkirkara, and the Emigrants' Commission, Valletta.

The money was collected by RTK Radio through its Kampanja Familji fil-Bżonn campaign during the weeks prior to Christmas last year.

The €500,000 raised by the radio station last year for Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be presented to the home later this year.

Mgr Cremona this morning leaves for London to bless apartments purchased by the Puttino Cares Foundation to accommodate families of children undergoing treatment for cancer. He returns on Tuesday.
