English Premier League side Fulham made up for their upset midweek defeat to claim a comfortable 3-0 win over Australian A-League champions Melbourne Victory yesterday. A first-half penalty by Andy Johnson and second-half strikes by substitute Eddie Johnson and Norwegian Erik Nevland helped the Cottagers make amends for their surprise 2-1 loss to A-League newcomers Gold Coast United in Queensland last Wednesday.
