A Frenchman, 47, was condemned to a two-year jail term suspended for four years and his daughter, 20, was conditionally discharged by a court late yesterday after they were convicted of causing a disturbance and assaulting a policeman.
The incident happened in a Marfa hotel early yesterday and also involved three Britons. A policeman who intervened suffered a fractured nose from a headbutt by the Frenchman.
Both accused were arraigned under arrest and admitted to causing a disturbance, assaulting a policeman and indecent exposure while drunk.
They were arraigned by Inspector Sandra Zammit.
