Two French minors were this morning conditionally discharged for three years after they pleaded guilty to stealing a considerable amount of clothes from a number of shops in Valletta yesterday afternoon.

The French teenagers, who said they were students in France, had a pair of scissors and were cutting off the security labels while trying on the clothes and would then walk out of the shop with the new clothes.

They said they were sorry for what they had done.
