The management of Malta Freeport has suspended forced leave imposed on some workers.

The UHM said it had directed the workers to follow a 'go slow' directive after some workers were put on forced leave even though the issue was still under discussion.

The forced leave has now been suspended.

The union insisted that decisions should be taken after talks, and not while the talks were still in progress,

It thanked the workers for their solidarity.
