A serial fraudster who is attempting to reform herself this morning had her six year three month jail term reduced to three years six months on appeal.

For her last case, Alexia Cross had been jailed for two years and three previous suspended jail terms were brought into force.

During her appeal, a number of the victims said she had been paid them back and they were ready to forgive her.

The Appeals Court reversed the previous judgement in so far as two of the suspended jail terms and confirmed the rest “so that maybe she will really reform herself”.
