Italian businessman Domenico Furfaro, 35, was today handed a two-year jail term suspended for four years after he admitted defrauding businessman and Valletta FC president Victor Schriha of €10,000.

Magistrate Miriam Hayman delivered sentence after hearing Mr Schriha say that the money had been paid back.

Mr Furfaro last week also admitted to defrauding Casino di Venezia of €16,500. Sentence in that case will be handed down tomorrow.
