Social media recently exposed distasteful graffiti sprayed on to the walls of one of St Julian’s most iconic landmarks – the 17th century Spinola Palace, which today hosts the headquarters of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean.

Frank Salt Real Estate, however, with its head office and commercial office in close proximity to the palace, immediately set off to remove the graffiti and restore the wall back to its original state in co-operation with the St Julian’s council.

The vandals’ work left a meaningless swirl of black spray paint on the side wall of the palace which was removed by members of the Frank Salt Real Estate property management team, headed by Bronia Mercieca.

Frank Salt Real Estate has a reputation for a keen interest in art, the preservation of our national heritage and the environment – as shown by its recently established ‘Let’s Go Environmental – Frank Salt’ project, an initiative which has seen the company commit to various large-scale environmental projects.

Frank Salt Real Estate condemns all acts of vandalism and believes that while street art certainly may have a place in the art world, this is most definitely not at historical sites or important heritage buildings and structures.
