Four public gardens in Swieqi are providing a much-needed touch of greenery in the town, thanks to the Let’s Go Environmental initiative by Frank Salt Real Estate, in conjunction with Swieqi council.

The company is collaborating with the council to ensure that the gardens are well kept for the enjoyment of the Swieqi and Ibraġ communities. Works include ongoing irrigation and general maintenance.

The sponsorship covers Ġnien Esprit Barthet, Ġnien Imħallef Caruana Curran, Ġnien F. X. Ebejer and the Swieqi civic centre, providing open spaces in a densely populated area. The estate agency hopes that such initiatives will go a long way to embellish and improve the environment, making Swieqi a better place to live and work in.

The company acknowledges that as a successful member of the business community, it has responsibilities towards the environment. The upkeep of public gardens in Swieqi is not the only project that Frank Salt Real Estate has taken up as part of its drive. It has also invested in the afforestation of the grounds surrounding Fort Madliena and is looking for similar areas around Malta and Gozo.

Frank Salt Real Estate has also invested extensively to reduce its own carbon footprint by reducing the quantity of paper used in the offices, making use of recycled products where possible and by introducing appropriate waste separation dispensers throughout its head office and branch network.

Frank Salt’s Let’s Go Environmental committee is also working with different voluntary and government entities to lessen their operating burden while mitigating their carbon footprint and hopes to announce new big initiatives shortly.
