Joseph Grioli has been appointed as the new chairman of Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti by its board of governors.

Mr Grioli was first managing director of Vodafone Malta, which led to him becoming a member of the council for Vodafone companies in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Malta, Egypt, Uganda and Kenya.

He also set up the Malta Maritime Authority and was chairman of the consortium which built the Malta Cruise Port. He also founded and headed the Mediterranean Cruise Port Association, of which he is still the honorary president.

Currently, he is chairman of IIG Bank Malta and a director on several boards governing investment funds and investment committees. He also acts as non-executive director of other Maltese service and manufacturing companies. He is also a trustee of Inspire Foundation.
