There were four traffic fatalities in the second quarter this year, the National Statistics Office said.
It said that reported traffic accidents reached 3,746, almost at par with the number during the same quarter last year.
A total 436 traffic casualties were reported, 273 of which involved drivers. They included 224 slight and 46 grievous injuries.
The injuries sustained by three male drivers proved fatal.
During the period under review, 31 other persons (12 passengers and 19 pedestrians) suffered grievous injuries, while 131 (87 passengers and 44 pedestrians) were slightly injured. Injuries sustained by a male passenger proved fatal.
