The MFA Disciplinary Board has suspended four Birkirkara FC players and three Valletta FC officials in the wake of scuffles which broke out in the VIP zone of the National Stadium after the Super Cup Match of August 21.

Birkirkara defender Patrick Borg was suspended for two matches and fined €150; Shaun Bajada and Paul Fenech also received two-match bans and a €100 fine while defender Nikola Vukanac was suspended for three matches and fined €200.

Valletta committee members Sandro Giliberti and Vincent Tabone were given a two-year suspension from all football activities while Kevin Cauchi was not found guilty of violent conduct but found guilty of incitement. He was suspended for a month and fined €25.

Former Valletta FC player and team manager Nicky Saliba was acquitted of all charges.
