The Forum Unions Maltin has promised its supports to its affiliate unions who represented Air Malta employees.

It said in a statement that at such a difficult moment for the airline, the government had to be honest and clearly say what led to the company ending millions of euros in debt.

The Forum said it would like to know who was responsible for the bad decisions taken in the past and which led the company to its current situation. It asked if workers were to be made to blame for the inefficiencies of others.

It called for the steering committee to be set up as soon as possible and hoped that the four unions involved would work and collaborate for the benefit of the workers and their families.
