The Social Issues Committee within the NCW is organising another talk on Thursday, July 6, at 6 p.m. at NCW's premises.

The talk, which will be about issues relating to the different members of the family in cases of separation, will be delivered by Roberta Zahra DeDomenico, a clinical psychologist who has been working for quite a few years with families who has been going through separation.

She will be discussing ways in which one can help oneself and the children through this difficult time.

Short summer English course

The NCW, in conjunction with the Adult Education Section of the Education Division, is once again organising a short summer English course for adults who dropped out early in their education or those who would like to improve their English.

Classes are held once a week at the NCW Centre on Wednesdays starting on July 4.

Basic Maltese course

The NCW, in conjunction with Adult Education, is organising a short summer course for adults who would like to improve their Maltese. Classes are held once a week in the mornings at the NCW Centre on Thursday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Lejla Letterarja Maltija

The Education Committee is organising the Lejla Letterarja Maltija at the Café Deux Baronnes with the splendid view of Grand Harbour next to the Upper Barrakka, Valletta, on Friday at 7 p.m. Those that have submitted their works can contact the office. Members and friends are invited. Price: Lm2.50, which includes a light supper.

Summer barbecue at Paradise Bay Resort

The NCW is organising the traditional summer barbecue for members and friends on Friday, July 20, at 8 for 8.30 p.m. at the Paradise Bay Resort, Cirkewwa.

Price: Lm6 for adults and Lm3 for children. Transport will be available on request. Booking is on first come basis.
