The main theme of this forum is “Strengthening Europe’s Role as the Leading Tourism Destination”. On November 18, two panels will take place: Panel 1 will deal with prioritising actions following the European Commission Communication on Tourism, while Panel 2 will discuss ways and means to maximise visibility for Europe. A plenary session focusing on the new policy framework for tourism will take place on November 19, with the confirmed participation of European Commission vice president Antonio Tajani.

November 18 – 19, Competitiveness Cluster Forum - International Cooperation and Funding Devices, Sophia-Antipolis, France.

The first day will feature presentations and debates around themes of the internationalisation of clusters and competitiveness “poles” and of the initial funding (both private and public).

The second day will focus on “European Initiatives for the Internationalisation of Clusters”. The comparisons will enable participants to clarify differences and similarities between policies of the European Commission, the States and the regions towards clusters and the mobilised means for mapping them.

This forum will host Austria’s leading providers and provide attendees access to extensive technological expertise and new business channels. November 25 – 27, Trade fair and conference for renewable energy and energy efficient building and renovation, Salzburg.

Themes at this year’s trade fair include district heating, heat pumps/geothermal energy, solar technology, hydropower, wood energy, energy consultation, green jobs, mobility and alternative fuel vehicles, biogas, wind energy, cogeneration, vegetable oils and more. It will also host a brokerage event which offers bilateral meetings with potential partners from all over Europe in fields such as bio-energy and energy efficiency (building, processes and mobility), as well as wood, hydro and solar powered sources.
