Former President Eddie Fenech Adami, Foreign Minister Tonio Borg, PN General Secretary Paul Borg Olivier and former collaborator David Casa saluted the memory of Guido de Marco this evening.

Dr Fenech Adami said Prof de Marco had excelled in everything he did.

He said he had lost a friend whom he had known since their school days in the 1940s and he had always valued his counsel, even when they did not agree.

Dr Fenech Adami said he remembered a time back in the 1970s, when he together Prof de Marco and Ugo Mifsud Bonnici had a talk about their political future. He remembered his words: “We have to have a mission, I want to move forward”.

It was something that propelled him all along. Pushing forward to do the right thing at the right moment to serve his country, Dr Fenech Adami said.
