• The annual traditional Christmas bazaar in aid of Christ the King parish will be held at Paola parish hall, Church Avenue, Paola, until Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon and from 4 to 8 p.m.
• Mgr Archimandrite George Mifsud Montanaro, Prot. Ap., is being entrusted with the pastoral care of the Greek-Catholic Community in Malta, succeeding Fr Papas Vito Borgia. The succession ceremony will be conducted by Pro-vicar Mgr Anton Gouder today at 5 p.m. at St Nicholas church, Merchants Street, Valletta. Members and friends of the Greek-Catholic church of Our Lady of Damascus, Valletta, are invited to attend the ceremony and to exchange greetings afterwards.
• YWCA (Malta) will be donating money to parish priests of different localities, to be distributed to needy persons and families in their community. Donations will be distributed to foundations that support children in India and Ethiopia and refugees in Malta. Presentation will be held at the YWCA headquarters, 178 Valley Road, Msida, on Wednesday at 5.30 p.m. The association and directors of Peach and Sorrel Ltd will also be presenting the scholarships awards at the headquarters on Wednesday. • A talk on how to help dyslexic children and adolescents with their homework will be held at the National Council of Women's centre on Thursday at 7.15 p.m. The talk will be in Maltese. • A thankgiving Mass will be held at the Seminary, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, on Friday at 6 p.m. to mark the Year for Priests and the first centenary of the birth of Mgr Salvatore Grima, founder of Id-Dar tal-Kleru and of the Qaddejja taċ-Ċenaklu. • The next public meeting for members of the ADHD family support group will be held at Junior College Msida, on Friday at 6.30 p.m. This will be an open meeting and will be followed by a small get-together for parents and children. There will be a minder for children under seven and PSD teachers for older ADHD children. The library will open at 6 p.m.
• The Malta Folklore Society will be organising a guided visit to the museum of the Capuchin Friary, Floriana, on Saturday at 10 a.m.
• The National Council of Women will be hosting the 12th edition of the Bice Mizzi Vassallo (BMV) Competition Concert on Saturday at Sala Isouard, Manoel Theatre, Valletta at 6.30 p.m. The participants who qualify from the preliminary session will be performing their chosen works in the concert which is open to the public.
