Parish Outside Festivities commission with Senglea council, on the feast of Our Lady of Victories, is organising isla@festa show in Victory Street, Senglea, on Friday at 8.30 p.m. The show will include performances by singers Morena, Debbie Scerri, Ivan Spiteri Lucas and Ludwig Galea, accompanied by Mark Spiteri Lucas Band.


The Collegiate parish church of the Virgin Mary in collaboration with Xagħra council are organising a tribute to the two Sieges of Malta with a religious, cultural and commemorative ceremony on Sunday. At 8 a.m., solemn lauds will be sung at the basilica and at 8.30 a.m., Mgr Giovanni Bosco Gauci will celebrate Mass. Later, a remembrance ceremony at Victory Square under the patronage of Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono will be held.


Past pupils of St Joseph's School, Sliema, ex-students of Sr Edward Toner, who is once again visiting Malta, are invited to participate in a thanksgiving Mass at St Patrick's church, Sliema, on September 9. This year, Sr Toner is celebrating the platinum jubilee of her service to the Lord in the company of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition.
