Baggio linked with FIGC job

Roberto Baggio could be the new president of the Technical Sector of the Italian Football Federation as part of a revamp exercise.

The current chief is 1990 World Cup Coach Azeglio Vicini, who effectively launched Baggio's international career at that tournament.

Reports in the Corriere dello Sport claim the Federation has agreed a deal to bring Baggio back into the fold. He hung up his boots six years ago and has steered clear of the sport since then, but admitted recently he was considering a return to work.

Baggio will be asked to represent Italian football as an international ambassador and bring more focus to the youth academies in the peninsula.
