Matt Derbyshire, Stephen Warnock and Martin Olsson have agreed new contracts with Blackburn, which will run until the summer of 2012.

England U-21 striker Derbyshire and former Liverpool defender Warnock have featured regularly this season. Swedish left-back Olsson, however, made only his second Premier League appearance when he came on as a substitute in Saturday's 3-1 win over Derby.

Blackburn have enjoyed a successful season and currently lie seventh in the table.

"It is a massive thing to be offered a new contract and when you see how the club is progressing, then you want to be a part of that," said Warnock.

Milan confirm deal for Arsenal's Flamini

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini will join Milan on a four-year deal, the Serie A club said yesterday.

The 24-year-old Frenchman, who signed for Arsenal from Olympique Marseille in 2004, will move on a free transfer with his contract at the Premier League club soon expiring.

A statement on the club website ( www.acmilan.com ) said Flamini, who underwent a medical yesterday, would join on July 1 with the deal running out on June 30, 2012.

Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani denied Flamini has been recruited to replace Italy international Gennaro Gattuso, who said last week he was considering his future and would like to play in England.

Keane planning changes

Roy Keane is planning a major overhaul at Sunderland. Keane has kept Sunderland in the Premier League following their promotion in 2007 but is not happy with his team's performances this season.

"We've lost 22 games this season and people keep telling me we've had a good season, but I'm lucky to still be in a job," he said.

He admitted he needed to "invest wisely and move some people on".

"That will be done this week, if not this week, then the following week," he said.

"It's irrelevant to me whether players are under contract. If they are, you just pay them up to go because you want certain characters."

Coleman relieved Coventry survived

Coventry manager Chris Coleman admitted watching his side come within one goal of relegation from the Championship was the most agonising 90 minutes of his career.

City had arrived at Charlton knowing victory would make results elsewhere irrelevant but were outplayed at The Valley, where Luke Varney, Andy Gray, Grant Basey and substitute Chris Powell were on the scoresheet in a 4-1 win.

City had just a Michael Mifsud strike to show for a desperately poor 90 minutes and the 3,000 fans who had travelled down from the Midlands waited anxiously for confirmation they had escaped the drop.

Coleman said: "I'm relieved. We have been in a relegation battle for three or four months and now it is finally over. But that's not the way to secure your place in the Championship with a 4-1 defeat.

"The players weren't celebrating. None of us were. We were exhausted and disappointed."

Siena say they won't roll over for Inter

Siena will still be motivated against leaders Inter despite securing their Serie A status in Sunday's 1-0 win over Juventus, coach Mario Beretta said.

Inter, three ahead of second-placed Roma, will seal the scudetto with a win but Beretta has assured Roma fans his team will not roll over at the San Siro.

"On Sunday we will go to play with a great serenity and without any nervous tension. We will play our game, trying to hit Inter where they have weak points," he told Radio Anch'io.

"Inter are always lucky against Siena, since they won the scudetto last year when they played us," Beretta added.

Wenger confirms Lehmann exit

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that goalkeeper Jens Lehmann will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

The 38-year-old Germany international was given a rousing send-off by Arsenal fans after coming on for the final 20 minutes of their 1-0 Premier League defeat of Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger said Lehmann, who lost his place to Spaniard Manuel Almunia early in the season, was worthy of his ovation.

"He deserves that," Wenger said.

"We have a big respect for him because he has been a 100 per cent professional for the five years he was here.

"Overall he deserves that because he has contributed a lot to the success of the club and we will miss him because he's a very important player not only on the pitch but off the pitch."

Unusual betting for League Two match

Accrington's 2-0 defeat by Bury on Saturday will be looked at by the Football Association amid allegations of unusual betting on the game.

Some bookmakers stopped taking bets on the League Two match on Friday after a high number of bets on Bury to win.

FA director of communications Adrian Bevington said: "We will look very closely at the information the bookmakers provide.

"We'll take any subsequent action with the Football League and the two clubs."

Accrington chief executive Rob Heys responded by saying the club would "co-operate fully" with any investigation.

Andy Bishop scored both goals as the visitors won Saturday's clash 2-0, and Stanley boss John Coleman refuted allegations that some of his players had been out on a stag party the night before the game.
