Wilfred Kenely, FOI director general, was recently in Paris where he held talks with officials from MEDEF International and MEDEF Paris, the French industrial association.

The visit was organised by the Embassy of Malta in Paris and had as its main objective the strengthening of the relations between the FOI and MEDEF Paris.

The two organisations signed a collaboration agreement in 2003 focusing on industrial co-operation and the exchange of technical expertise.

During his meetings Mr Kenely met MEDEF Paris president Remy Robinet-Duffo and MEDEF international vice-president Thierry Courtaigne. The two sides identified possible areas of collaboration and a number of initiatives, which would be followed up in the coming months.

Other meetings were also held with the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with Philippe Lecam, director of the Paris Development Incubation Centre.
