Vaccination against seasonal flu will start on October 22 at health centres, the Secretariat for the elderly and community care said.

Vaccination will also be provided from many local council offices.

The secretariat said vaccination from health centres will be free for those over 55, children between six months and five years, those suffering chronic illness, diabetes, problems of the immune system and a number of other conditions.

Medical certificates have to be produced.

Carers responsible for people who cannot leave home can phone the MMDNA on   21387526 for assistance at home.
