Floriana defeated Senglea Athletic 3-2 to make it to the quarter finals of the FA Cup after coming up from behind and getting the winner in extra time this afternoon.

The match saw red cards given to Krsteski (Floriana), Agius (Floriana) and Mifsud .

Floriana had been leading 2-1 against nine-men Floriana with seconds to play when Yala Bolasie smacked a low shot into the corner of Senglea's goal to equalise.

Ewurun opened the score for Senglea on 40 minutes and Caruana equalised in the middle of the second half. Tanti made it two for Senglea with 10 minutes to go and the first division side were preparing to celebrate an upset when Bolasie equalised in injury time and Cassar made it three for Floriana from a penalty near the end of extra time.

Earlier First Division side Dingli Swallows also made it to the quarter finals when they beat Premier division side Mqabba 1-0.
