Floriana president Riccardo Gaucci is still livid at the performance of referee Clayton Pisani in his side’s 2-1 defeat to Hibernians late last month.

“I’m still gutted about our last game as my team was seriously undermined by a series of harsh decisions by the referee,” Gaucci, who has been hit with a two-match touchline ban, told Times of Malta.

Gaucci’s frustration is further compounded by the Greens’ failure to pick up a point from their opening two matches.

For today’s game against Qormi, Italian defender Enrico Pepe is suspended while striker Matteo Piciollo could make his first start this season after coming on as a substitute against Hibernians.

Qormi, who are also looking for their first points, signed Malta forward Terence Vella on loan from Birkirkara on transfer deadline day.

Ousmane Sidibe, who played for Pembroke last season, is also expected to be given his debut by coach Jesmond Zerafa today.

On the negative side, Swedish defender Billy Berntsson and midfielder Clifford Gauci are expected to miss out due to injuries.
