The hunters' federation FKNK is prepared to offer a reward of €1,000 for information leading to whoever shot down a Black Stork near Buskett last week, FKNK CEO Lino Farrugia said on TimesTalk yesterday.

He said the federation was prepared to offer the reward if BirdLife did likewise.

"We are making this offer, put your money where your mouth is," Mr Farrugia told Birdlife Malta president Joseph Mangion, who was also a guest on the programme.

Mr Mangion replied that there was no need for BirdLife to offer the reward.

"We do not need to, the problem is the hunters and those who say there is no problem," he said.
