The possibility of large fish bones in Waitrose's Chunky Battered Haddock Fish Fingers has led the health authorities to issue a warning.

The Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health warned the public not to consume the product because of the injury any bones might cause.

The warning is related to the 300g packs, with a November 2019 expiry date.

For further information, the public is kindly requested to contact the Health Inspectorate Services between 8am and 2pm on 2133 7333, or by calling personally at its offices at Continental Business Centre, Old Railway Track, Santa Venera or by email mhi@gov.mt.
