This year’s FISEC Games will be held in the French city of Beauvais in July, the International Council announced following an annual general meeting held recently in Paris.

FISEC Malta was present for the assembly and the delegation was headed by chairman Bro Martin Borg and officials Ray Baldacchino and Lawrence Fenech.

Also attending the meeting was Carmen Carabott, the FISEC International general secretary.

The 2016 Games organisers are anticipating a strong participation with more than 1,000 young students likely to travel to the host venue in the north of France, some 75kms away from Paris.

In all, there will be 14 nations represented at the Games, FISEC Malta said is a statement.

Among those taking part will be athletes from the Brazilian and Indian regional committees as well as a team from Egyptian catholic schools who will be making their debut at the Games.

FISEC Malta said their continent for the 2016 Games will be composed of 60 athletes. They will compete in track and field, swimming and table tennis events.
