Fire-fighters from the Civil Protection Department this evening tackled an underground fire at Dailies food store in Mdina Road, Zebbug.

The blaze was reported at about 8.15pm. It is believed to have started in a generator room and was contained.

Four fire-engines were on the scene. No one was injured.
