Firemen were called in to put out a fire in a garage in Madliena this morning.

Two people had to be treated for smoke inhalation but were not seriously injured when the incident took place in the garage and part of an adjacent villa in Triq Antoine Camilleri.

Vehicles which were parked in the garage were taken out before the fire engulfed them. The police are investigating.
