No one was injured this morning when a fire caused serious damage to the kitchen of the Ta’ Cenc Hotel in Gozo.

The blaze broke out at about 6 a.m. and was extinguished by firemen from the Civil Protection Department. It is understood that the fire extensively damaged the kitchen and the roof needs to be replaced.

Guests were not evacuated.

The operation, which lasted an hour and 15 minutes, was led by station officer Peter Paul Mercieca.
