Mosta FC have announced the signing of Firas Abouleez from Attard FC. The attacking midfielder will join The Blues on loan for the rest of the season.

Firas, 24, was born in Lebanon but has lived in Malta since he was five. He joined the Attard FC Youth Nursery and progressed through the youth teams and on to the first team where he quickly made a name for himself in the lower divisions.

He joined San Gwann on loan and wore the yellow and blue shirt for two seasons where he was their star player in the First Division.

He was injured earlier this season but has now joined The Blues promotion push. Firas, a naturalised Maltese national, was also the target for Premier Division side Hibernians, but he opted to join Mosta, the club said.

Firas has already started training with The Blues and is expected to make his debut for Mosta tomorrow in the Charles Abela Memorial Cup.
