Roderick Muscat, 23, who admitted to simple possession of cannabis, relapsing and committing the crime during the operative period of a suspended jail term, has been fined €850.

Magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras, noted how he had been given a two-year jail term suspended for four years for aggravated theft and he had been caught with cannabis which was meant for his personal use, during the operative period of the suspended term.

The magistrate fined him €850 and ordered that the suspended jail term come into force with the judgement.
